Crude Oil Futures: Quote Size and Liquidity Over A Decade
As crude oil prices surge due to Russian sanctions, we analyze the liquidity and top-of-the-book quote size of crude oil futures from June 2012 until now. We use outrights only and average the entire term structure of crude oil futures. Liquidity is defined as the inverse of the volatility in volume time measured in 15-minute intervals.
