Uwe Schweickert works as a Managing Director for Deutsche Börse AG in Eschborn, Germany. His expertise centers on the competitive and regulatory drivers in capital markets with a special focus on electronic trading and central counterparty clearing in cash and derivatives markets. Uwe Schweickert holds a diploma in economics from the Freie Universtät Berlin and joined Deutsche Börse in 1999.  

After heading the research team for cash markets, he participated in corporate development for cash and derivatives markets. As a Senior Project Manager, Uwe managed large-scale projects with a focus on M&A as well as capital market regulation. From 2010 to end of 2015, Uwe Schweickert has been responsible for the Executive Office of Eurex, the derivatives business within Deutsche Börse Group. His responsibilities covered corporate development and co-operations, corporate office and governance as well as the Representative Offices of Deutsche Börse in Beijing and Moscow. From 2016 to end of 2018, Uwe led Market Operations for Deutsche Börse, Information and Corporate Security as well as the Executive Office of the Deputy CEO who was responsible for Information Technology, Operations, Data and New Asset Classes. In 2019, Uwe has been Managing Director for Special Projects. Since 2020, he leads Business Analytics & Strategy and is Chief of Staff for the Trading & Clearing business of Deutsche Börse.
